Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Adjust Font Size in Messages App in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The Messages app lets you change the font size within this app so you can adjust it according to your need. If you have difficulty when reading messages with the current font size, you can make the font bigger for better reading. While, if you want to have more space to view messages, you can make the font smaller so the screen can display more messages for you.


How to adjust font size in the Messages app?
You can do so by using two different methods: using the Volume key and using the font size option.


Method #1: Using the Volume key
When you're in the Messages app to create a new message, viewing messages list, or opening a conversation, you can press the Volume up key to increase the font size or press the Volume down key to decrease the font size.


Method #2: Using the font size option
  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Font size.
  3. Select the required font size from the following options:
    • Use device font sizes: select this option to change the font size in the Messages app based on the device font size.
    • Tiny
    • Extra small
    • Small
    • Medium
    • Large
    • Extra large
    • Huge
  4. The font size in the Messages app will be changed.
