At the first time, I thinks that it's about predictive text, but apparently this issue is brought by the new option in the stock keyboard app called auto replacement which will auto replace the word you're typing with the most probable word. Due to the cause, to stop the keyboard always replacing a word the user should turn this option off.
How to disable auto replacement on Android 4.3?
Generally, there are two methods to turn off auto replacement that you can choose which best suit you.
Methods #1: Through the Settings menu
Below are the steps to do so:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap My device tab.
- Tap Language and input.
- Tap the cogwheel icon next to Samsung keyboard to access the settings menu.
- Slide the switch next to Auto replacement to the left to disable this option.
Method #2: Through the Messaging app
Actually you can do this step using any app which requires you to use keyboard. But, as the example we'll use the Messaging app to do so:
- Open Messaging app then create new message.
- Tap on Enter messages field to bring up the keyboard.
- Tap the Settings icon on the virtual keyboard.
- Slide the switch next to Auto replacement to the left to disable this option.
By disabling this option, now whenever you're typing a word then tap the space bar or punctuation mark then the keyboard should not replace your word with the most probable word which in certain case this is might be not the word you want to type. So, hope this helps :)
